Harpole Day Nursery is a little unusual in that the staff look after the babies and children in small groups, like you would at home.
Families choose to come here because we are so small and personal and because we continue this ethos right down to the finest detail.
Your child will have their own key person, who will be responsible for planning activities to suit the correct level of ability. The key person monitors the children’s progress, too, and is also responsible for caring for individual needs.
Of course the beauty of a tiny nursery is that all the children quickly get to know all of our staff, too, and so there are very few problems when children move rooms, for instance.

Awards and accolades for our staff include:
Our manager, Jackie Berrie, has worked incredibly hard to achieve the Early Years Professional Status. This is a graduate qualification, equivalent to a Qualified Teacher Status, and is a measure of her ability to lead high-quality childcare.
All of our staff are police checked using the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB.) We use GB Group to do these background checks so that you can be sure our staff are cleared to work with children
All our permanent staff are trained in Paediatric First Aid, an Ofsted-approved and fully assessed qualification. It provides reassurance that we know what to do in an emergency, although bumps and scrapes are more common!
